# Missions

Launching missions from the Discord bot: Weekly Quests, Areas, and rewards.

Opening Missions from your Profile brings up this screen:&#x20;

<div align="center" data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/6kbcVlkhhuJRfUuLf7Tt/blobs/zO4AwRtWyR5M7VODAs9G/image%20(10).png" alt="" width="259"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

<p align="center">your Weekly Quests at the top, the Areas you can choose from, and your Weekly Stats at the bottom.</p>

### Weekly Quests

Weekly Quests reset every week. If you haven't completed them by the time they reset, you lose the rewards described for each one. The quests themselves change from week to week — they're extra objectives that reward you for the time you spend using the bot. A green checkmark and a full blue bar mean a quest is complete; the number next to it confirms this — for example, 10/10 means it's done.

### Areas

Below the Weekly Quests you'll find three buttons, one for each available Area. Each Area corresponds to the Grade you've unlocked, as explained in the [Grade and Level](/guide/discord-game/grade-and-level.md) section. Choosing an Area determines which missions you can take part in.

At the bottom of the screen you'll also find your Weekly Stats and the rewards you've earned.

### Available Missions

Each Area lists its own set of available missions. For every mission you'll see its name, its Duration (calculated from your profile's Mission Time Reduction bonuses), and its Base Success Rate — your actual success rate will be higher than this, since it doesn't include the bonuses from your equipped items, Bonus Set, and Pet NFT. Finally, each mission shows the Coin reward it pays out.

### Mission Detail

Selecting a mission shows its full detail: its name and flavor description, its Duration and Success Rate (this time reflecting all of your active bonuses, not just the base rate), its Coin reward, and its Quantum Chest and Quantum Key drop rates — all of which can be increased further by your active Blessings. Starting the mission locks in these stats and spends 1 durability on each of your equipped items.

Missions have a cooldown: once it ends, you can start another mission as long as you still have "missions left" available on your profile. Rewards from any Quantum Chest or Quantum Key drops are only reported at the end of the mission, in a completion message.

Here's an example of what a Quantum Chest drop looks like in a mission's completion message: alongside the Coins earned (including any active coins boost), the bot reports the Quantum Chest found, with quick buttons to jump straight to Missions, Shop, Altar, Profile, or Replay.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://planetary-defense-guide.gitbook.io/guide/discord-game/missions.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
