# Introduction

A quick overview of the Planetary Defense Discord bot and how it connects to the Web Game.

### **Quantum Chests and Quantum Keys**

Quantum Chests and Quantum Keys are the Materials you earn by completing missions. Opening a Quantum Chest by itself gives you a chance at lower-rarity Materials, while combining a Quantum Chest with a Quantum Key shifts the odds toward the rarer tiers — Epic, Legendary, and Mythic. The rarer the Materials, the stronger the NFTs you'll be able to craft from them.

### **Coins**

Coins are the Discord Game's own currency, earned by completing missions. You can spend Coins in the Shop to improve your equipment, or mint them into your wallet as NFTs to trade on the secondary market.

### **Missions**

Missions are the core loop of the Discord Game: you pick from a set of missions with different drop rates, difficulty, and duration, and completing one rewards you with Coins plus a chance at Quantum Chests and Quantum Keys.

### **From Quantum Chests, Quantum Keys, and Coins to NFTs**

Quantum Chests, Quantum Keys, and Coins can all be minted into your wallet as NFTs. The full minting process is covered in detail in the Mint section.

### **How it connects to the Web Game**

Your loots from Discord Game can be minted to craft NFTs playable on Web Game. Your Grade (Discord role) is calculated from your Web Game stats. So playing both together is the fastest way to grow. That said, the Discord Game works perfectly well on its own if you'd rather stick to Discord.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://planetary-defense-guide.gitbook.io/guide/discord-game/introduction.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
